Holiness in 2010!

A message from Jill Southern (Director of NETS)

We are grateful to God for His faithfulness at Pierrepont (Home of NETS) in 2009 and are waiting in expectation for what He’ll do this upcoming year. Many changes have taken place here in recent months as we sought to bring the ministry into yet another level of godly order, and as we move into 2010 we are actively preparing ourselves for a great move of God among us. We hope you’ll come be part of it!

I started off this year with a trip to Taiwan and was absolutely amazed and challenged by what God was doing. Taiwan is in a near revival state, and in one day a local church baptized 1000 people! Within three years the population of born-again believers nearly doubled from 3% to 5% and grew to 14% in Taipei alone. I saw God doing miraculous things and am thrilled to be part of that here in England and worldwide.

Lately, God has been speaking to us about holiness. 1 Peter 1:15 says, “But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do.” I believe one of the world’s most pressing needs is holy character. Holy character is not about our reputation or how much is on our Christian CV, but about the decisions we make when we think no one is looking. Do our decisions help pave the way for God to come and transform our lives and the lives of those around us? Are we willing to pay the price of repentance and commitment to change or are we on the road to compromise?

God has a plan and a destiny for all of us and His question to us in Isaiah 6 is, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” Here at Ellel Pierrepont our mission is to heal and equip the messengers – you – and we are excited and privileged to be part of this call in this season. I pray that God will move mightily in your life as you choose to walk in a more intimate life-transforming relationship with Him.

Christmas message from Jill Southern, Director of NETS

For unto us a child is born, to us a son is given and the government shall be on his shoulders.  And he will be called Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting God, Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6).

What an exciting time Christmas is as we are reminded of the message of the incarnation of Jesus Christ into the world, He who is truly God and truly man.  This is the time to give our heart to Him and to celebrate light coming into the world’s darkness.  It seems to me that there has never been a more urgent time in world history for the light to shine in the huge darkness which covers our earth, the darkness of corruption, abortion, knife crime, violence, abuse, and the massive financial greed that shouts to us from every newspaper.  The coming of Jesus Christ into our world and, then, into our hearts is the only solution.  There is no economic, political or financial solution.  The only solution is found in making Jesus Christ Saviour, Lord and God and to become a disciple of His, living our lives His way.

My prayer for each one of you this Christmas time is that you will embrace God’s unspeakable gift of love and move into a deeper yet, more intimate life-transforming relationship with Jesus Christ.  In 2010, I pray that you will enter into the adventure of NETS.  This will be the greatest investment that you could make into your own life and future with God, to be trained and equipped to minister to the broken and the hurting and also to receive deep level healing for yourself.

Let us take God’s hand as we go into 2010 and allow Him to lead us into whatever the future holds into that place of safety which is the name of the Lord is a strong tower, and those who go into it are safe.  May God give you the true joy of this Christmas season as together we worship the Christ child.

Biggest NETS Ever AND First Chinese NETS has begun!

That’s right… Pierrepont is buzzing with excitement and expectation as NETS 25 has now begun!

With over 60 students from all over the world, this is the biggest single intake of NETS trainees ever! A life transforming season has commenced for these people as they embark on an incredible journey with God, allowing Him to Heal, Equip, Train and Inspire them to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a broken and hurting world.

Chinese NETS

For the first time ever, all NETS teaching is being translated into Mandarin live, for the benefit of the 15 Chinese trainees whose level of English would not enable them to understand everything.

Stages 1 and 2 of the NETS Programme are now taking place in the Conference Hall at Ellel Pierrepont because the original location, the Great Hall, is no longer large enough to accommodate a group of this size. The Conference Hall was originally built as a sports hall for Pierrepont boys school. When Ellel purchased Pierrepont estate, carpet was laid and a large stage installed, making it into a very spacious Conference Hall. It has recently been fitted with large windows and a new sound system and has become the perfect location for the ever expanding NETS Ministry Training Programme.

Healed, Equipped, Inspired and now RELEASED!

Last Friday was an exciting, inspirational and emotional day as NETS Ministry School students from Terms 2 and 4 were released to GO and take everything they have experienced and learned on NETS to bring hope, healing, joy and freedom in Jesus’ name to a broken and hurting world.

38 students from 13 different nations completed the first two terms of NETS 24 and many will be returning after a well-earned 3 week break for term 3 which includes an exciting mission trip.

16 students from 10 different nations completed all four terms of NETS 23 with testimonies of God at work in their lives that were simply awe inspiring. All glory goes to God.

Despite being on NETS to be trained to bring healing to others, at the celebration service two of the students testified to having been healed themselves of serious medical conditions during NETS.

As ever, several students testified that their lives will be ‘Never Ever The Same’ after NETS, which was the inspiration for the recently launched NETS website (www.NeverEverTheSame.com) at which you can watch student video testimonies and find out everything you need to know about the NETS Programme.

Less than three weeks now until NETS 25 begins. This will be the biggest NETS so far with over 65 students already signed up and applications still coming in!

There are just a few places remaining on our upcoming NETS 25, starting on 10 October 2009 but we are still taking applications. That means the time to request or return your application form is NOW! It’s now less than 3 months until the 1st term of NETS 25 commences…

Students return from South Africa Mission!

This week, students from term 3 of the NETS Ministry School returned home from an exciting 2 week mission trip to South Africa. Today they shared their incredible experiences and testimonies of God’s healing power at work at an ‘end of term’ celebration at Ellel Pierrepont, home of the NETS School.

The students’ stories included the healing of a man who was deaf in one ear, legs growing to their rightful length, many people coming to know Jesus Christ for the first time and many, many people set free from deep emotional pain and fears that had held them captive for years and years.

The trip was a truly memorable one for the students and many of them shared about how wonderfully united the group were and how important it was to support, encourage and strengthen each other throughout the mission.

Term 3 Mission Trip to South Africa

Last week, students from term 3 of the NETS Ministry School headed off to Pretoria, South Africa for two weeks of mission.

The purpose of the mission is to take all the training they have recieved on the school and apply it to serve the people of South Africa, brining the Truth and Healing of Jesus Christ to a broken and hurting world.

They have already seen countless lives come to Christ, not to mention seeing physical healings and precious people being set free from emotional pain and fear that have been a result of past traumatic experiences.

We look forward to being able to give more detailed account of the mission trip on their return, with images and videos.
